The words split into 12 page turns before any art was made.

  1. Meet Lina and Pip at the misty harbor

At dusk, Lina and Pip watched the story boat return through the harbor mist.

  2. Reveal the keeper’s final lantern

The keeper had one lantern left—and no light for the library shelves.

  3. Climb toward the sleeping lighthouse

Lina carried that last warm glow up the cliff before the fog swallowed the path.

  4. Find the bell rope around the book chest

In the lantern room, the bell rope was knotted tight around the book chest.

  5. Free the rope with Keeper Vale

Keeper Vale pulled with Lina while Pip guarded every rescued story.

  6. Call the village to pass up the books

One clear bell called the village to pass the lantern books hand to hand.

  7. Enter the dark circular library

At last Lina stepped into the round library, where one enormous book waited in the blue dark.

  8. Open the oldest lantern book

When she opened it, a small gold light rose from the silent pages.

  9. Wake the curved shelves one by one

With each step, another curved shelf remembered how to shine.

  10. Carry the story light into the great lens

Lina placed the glowing story beneath the lens, and the lighthouse found its beam.

  11. Guide three boats through the night

The beam crossed the rough water and showed three boats the way home.

  12. Close with Lina’s shared reading ritual

From then on, Lina read there each evening while Pip slept at her boots.

03 · Character and style approval

Six views of Lina were approved before a single story page was drawn.

Lina keeps the same short dark bob, orange clip, mustard raincoat, striped shirt, teal skirt, boots, and tan satchel. Pip remains the same small white terrier with one brown ear and a teal collar. The six reference views below are approval material and are not counted among the twelve story pages.

04 · Initial two-page draft

Two real story pages tested the character before the remaining pages were generated.

These two pages also appear in the final sequence below; they are shown here as the approval gate, not counted twice.

05 · Free crop and layout demonstration

The evidence here is deliberately narrow and literal.

The comparison at left deliberately uses one generated page twice to demonstrate a free crop and layout choice. It is not presented as a before/after of a paid repaint. A real repaint in the workspace is a small paid generation that creates a separate version and preserves the original.

What happens when pixels really change

Repainting a detail, removing an object, changing an expression, replacing a background, or generating a full new version is small paid work — about $0.20 each — and every version stays in the page’s history, so the original remains restorable.

06 · Complete final sequence

12 independent illustrations show all 12 content pages.

Every thumbnail below is a distinct source image. The story text is never baked into the art, so the words stay editable in the layout.
